Can I perform refunds ?

We have a fully secure web based control panel for re-authorisations and reversals on delayed transactions.

Can you get me a merchant account ?

No, but we can advise on the best way to approach this. We can also provide the security details you need for the application forms.

Do I need a secure server to use skypay ?

No. We include up to 2mb of secure webspace under https://www.skypay.co.uk/merchantname with our facilities. You can upload to this through our secure control panel or by using our form generation wizards.

How do I link it with my existing website ?

Connecting skypay to an existing website is easy. You just need to create a form that calls our server for authorisation. More information about this can be found here

How long does it take from authorisation until payment is made into my bank account?

We process all transactions every 24 hours and will normally arrive in your bank account within 48-72 hours.

How much does it cost ?

Using skypay costs either only 37p per transaction with a monthly charge of £10, or 17p per transaction with a monthly charge of £20 (all costs are plus VAT).

Is your system secure ?

We perform transactions over Secure Socket Layer (SSL) at a minimum of 40bit encryption to protect the credit card details.

What currencies does skypay support ?

We can support a number of international currencies providing that it is covered on your merchant agreement.

What do I need to use skypay ?

You will need to get an internet merchant account from one of the banks that we have agreements with. You can see the list of banks on our application form here

Will it work with my current e-commerce software ?

We have developed Skypay to be as easy to work with as possible. At the very minimum we only require the submitting of a simple form to our system, which means that we can cnfidently say that 95% of eCommerce applications will work with our system. Can I develop a package around skypay

Yes. Please email our technical team for more information. We have made our interface as flexible as possible to allow integration with a wide range of scenarios.

Can I use Microsoft Frontpage ?

Yes. You can use the files in our section and customise them to the look and feel of your site.

Do I need my own SSL (secure) certificate ?

You only need your own SSL certificate if you are using your own domain to host the secure pages. If you wish to do this, please contact our sales team for more information, otherwise, we can provide space at https://www.skypay.co.uk/merchantname for merchants who do not have their own SSL certificate



How do I integrate with skypay ?

You can use a number of methods, including modules for Perl and PHP for handling responses within the same script. The most basic method is using forms. You can find out how to do this by going here

How long does it take to authorise a transaction ?

We normally process transactions within 3-8 seconds.
