How do I get started? |

All Skypay accounts start off inactive, so you can sign up and get started without having to pay anything. You can sign up here. |

What is an internet merchant account? |
|
An internet merchant account (or merchant account) is a special type of bank account that accepts online payments. |

Do I need an internet merchant account? |
|
Yes. Without an internet merchant account you cannot take online payments through Skypay. |

How long does it take to get an internet merchant account? |
|
It varies from bank to bank. You'd need to contact your chosen supplier. |

|
What should I say to the banks? |
|
Whichever bank you decide on to supply your merchant account, you'll need to tell them a provider reference when they ask which payment gateway you'll be using. Ours is "UPG". |

How long will it take for my funds to clear? |
|
Typically 48-72 hours to clear into your internet merchant account and then another 48-72 hours to transfer into your normal business account. Ask your banking partner for exact details. |

What's the best package for me? |
|
That will depend on how many transactions you think you'll do. Our Low User tariff costs £9.50 a month and includes 300 transactions a quarter (with extra transactions costing 20p each). Our Standard tariff costs £19.50 a month and includes 1000 transactions a quarter (with extra transactions costing just 9.9p each). Our High User tariffs are tailored to your needs and will depend on your transaction volumes, please contact us to discuss. |
